Atypical lymphoid infiltrate

Atypical lymphoid infiltrate
Incidental finding of an atypical lymphoid infiltrate within a portal area. Some of the cells appear to spread outward into the parenchyma. Whenever this type of infiltrate is present in a liver biopsy, it is imperative that immunohistochemical studies be performed to determine the phenotype of the cells in order to rule out malignant lymphoma.
