Idiopathic noncirrhotic portal hypertension (NCPH)
Obliterative portal venopathy, one form of idiopathic NCPH, is exemplified by markedly diminished portal vein lumina or total obliteration of the lumen (arrows). The portal tract is fibrotic, but there are no fibrous septa and definitely no cirrhosis, despite the patient having portal hypertension.
