Histologic features of allergic contact dermatitis

In contrast with mycosis fungoides, this biopsy of allergic contact dermatitis demonstrates extensive spongiosis and lymphocytic exocytosis. The lymphocytes lack cytologic atypia, and there are scattered eosinophils within the dermal infiltrate.
