Dermoscopy of acral melanocytic lesions: Transition pattern

On dermoscopy, this nevus located on the inner aspect of the right heel shows the parallel furrow pattern in the lower portion and the reticular pattern in the upper portion. This pattern is characteristic of melanocytic nevi of the glabrous/nonglabrous skin transition zone (inset: clinical photograph).
