Sequential chest radiographs in an extremely preterm infant (23 weeks gestation) with severe coagulopathy due to disseminated intravascular coagulation. Image A is the initial chest radiograph demonstrating typical findings of respiratory distress syndrome (low lung volumes, diffuse ground glass appearance). Image B is a radiograph performed less than one hour later demonstrating bilateral hemothorax.
