(A) In this regular fibrillar pattern, the endpoints of the fibrils align on the lines corresponding to the surface furrows (arrows).

(B) In a lesion with combined features of the parallel furrow pigmentation and fibrillar/filamentous pigmentation, if the fibrils reach or cross the neighboring furrow or cover at least the whole width of 1 surface ridge, the pattern is classified as the fibrillar pattern.
