Palpation of the calcaneus anterior process

To find the calcaneocuboid joint, place the tip of your thumb on the lateral malleolus and the tip of your middle finger on the proximal fifth metatarsal, as shown in the photograph. The tip of your index finger then points to the location of the joint.
