Lymphoid interstitial pneumonia on chest radiograph and CT scan

(A) A chest radiograph shows bilateral, nonspecific diffuse interstitial coarsening and a cyst in the right lower lobe (arrow).

(B) A coronal reconstruction of a CT scan confirms the presence of cysts in the right lower lobe and left upper lobe (short arrows).

(C) An axial CT scan shows extensive bibasilar cystic changes (dashed arrow) and interstitial thickening (thick arrow) with postsurgical changes in the left pleural space (arrowhead) following wedge biopsy. A diagnosis of LIP was confirmed by biopsy.
