Pulled elbow
Pulled elbow usually happens when someone pulls hard on a child's arm by the hand, wrist, or forearm when the child isn't expecting it. This might happen, for instance, when a child is about to fall (as shown in A). When the arm is pulled in this way, tissue moves between 2 of the bones of the elbow joint, called the radius and the humerus (as shown in B).
