(A) The transabdominal ultrasound of the gravid uterus at 22 weeks in the longitudinal projection reveals an elongated cervix (Cx +----+), which is positioned superiorly. The fundus of the uterus (arrowheads) is situated posteriorly and pointing inferiorly. (B) A transvaginal study in the longitudinal projection, again showing the elongated and superiorly positioned cervix with an inferiorly directed fundus. These findings suggest uterine incarceration.
