Heel enthesis anatomy

At the heel level, 2 different sites can be affected: The insertion of Achilles tendon on the posterior part of calcaneus responsible of posterior heel pain (Achilles tendinitis/enthesitis) and the insertion of plantar fascia on the inferior part of calcaneus responsible of inferior heel pain (plantar fasciitis).
