Burkhalter-type splint for metacarpal fractures

Plaster splint applied with 30 degrees extension at wrist, 90 degrees flexion of MCP joints. On the volar aspect, the splint material extends to the MCP joint; dorsally, the material extends to the PIP joints to block extension.
