A positive rest perfusion scan predicts outcome in patients with chest pain
In a study of 532 patients with chest pain seen in the emergency room, those with a positive rest perfusion scan had a higher incidence of myocardial infarction (MI); MI or need for revascularization (R); and MI, revascularization, and a diagnosis of significant coronary disease (S) when compared with patients with a normal perfusion scan (p<0.0001).
