HSV keratitis as seen with slit lamp

This photo shows the characteristic dendritic appearance of corneal lesions caused by a herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection. Note how little fluorescein is needed to highlight the lesion; scant fluorescein is visible on the remainder of the cornea.
