Histopathology of autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease

Histologic examination of a kidney biopsy from a patient with autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease reveals cystic dilatations of the collecting tubules with flattening of the epithelium that runs perpendicular to the kidney capsule.
