(A) Absorbable sutures are placed full thickness through the distal end of the bowel, 2 cm proximally through the seromuscular layer, and then through subcuticular space. (B) During the tying of the sutures, the distal end is everted unto itself. (C) The matured, everted, Brooke end ileostomy with the sutures at the mucocutaneous junction.
