Clinical course of pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis

Clinical course of pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis
The data shown were extracted from clinical reviews that described the clinical outcome of 195 subjects with pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis. The length of followup varied from 1 to 12 years. Most patients are stable or improved. In one study, for example, 40 patients had essentially no symptoms of residual disease at least six months after diagnosis; 13 of these patients had persistent radiographic abnormalities.
