Myocardial perfusion scan in a patient injected with Tc-99m-sestamibi in the emergency department during an episode of chest pain. The patient's electrocardiogram (ECG) was nondiagnostic but perfusion defects can be seen in the anteroapical region of the heart (arrows). Cardiac catheterization the next day revealed a tight lesion in the proximal portion of the first diagonal branch of the left anterior descending coronary artery.
