Peak VO2 and systolic pressure predict outcome in HF

Peak VO2 and systolic pressure predict outcome in HF
In a series of 500 patients with chronic heart failure (HF), the three-year survival rate was excellent in patients with a peak VO2 above 14 mL/min/kg (top curve). Among patients with a lower peak VO2, three-year survival was higher in those able to achieve a peak systolic blood pressure above 120 mmHg with exercise (p = 0.02).
