Campylobacter jejuni colonies on CAMPY-agar
Isolation of Campylobacter jejuni from stool is best accomplished by use of CAMPY-agar, which contains several antibiotics to inhibit normal stool flora. Cultures are incubated at 42ºC in a microaerophilic environment for 48 to 72 hours.
