Preoperative brain MRI axial FLAIR sequence showing a subependymal giant cell astrocytoma, also known as a subependymal giant cell tumor, located near the left foramen of Monro. There is minimal enlargement of the ipsilateral ventricle despite markedly increased intracranial pressure evident at surgery.
