Blood smear from a patient with T cell prolymphocytic leukemia. The tumor cells are medium-sized lymphoid cells with moderately condensed chromatin and a prominent nucleolus. In T-PLL, the nucleus can be round or oval and the cytoplasm is slightly basophilic without granules. Cytoplasmic protrusions (blebs) are common.
