The patient had a history of sepsis (Legionella pneumonia). He subsequently developed signs and symptoms of adrenal insufficiency.
(A) An axial CT scan through the adrenals initially showed normal adrenals (arrows).
(B) An axial CT scan performed one week later to follow up on the pneumonia shows bilateral subacute adrenal hemorrhage (arrows).
