Oncocytic cell (Hürthle cell) adenoma: Findings on fine-needle aspirate
FNA of a thyroid nodule showing sheets of large, polygonal Hürthle cells (also called oncocytes, Askanazy cells, or oxyphil cells) with abundant oxyphilic cytoplasm. The nodule is benign if there is no evidence of vascular or capsular invasion after surgical excision.
