Dermatitis in zinc deficiency

Perianal dermatitis in a child with zinc deficiency, which developed because of total parenteral nutrition with insufficient zinc supplementation. The second panel shows dramatic improvement in the dermatitis after only 7 days of systemic zinc supplementation.
