Left atrial myxoma

Left atrial myxoma
The five-chamber view from a 2-D echocardiogram shows a very large left atrial myxoma, which has a broad stalk and is adherent to the interatrial septum. During diastole, the tumor extends into the left ventricle. The presence of left atrial enlargement suggests that there is mitral regurgitation.
