Effect of elbow flexion on the ulnar nerve

This figure illustrates the effect of elbow flexion on the ulnar nerve. Note that with flexion (B), the distance between the olecranan and median epicondyle increases, thus resulting in compression of the nerve by the attached aponeurosis.
