(A) World Health Organization grade TS (trachomatous conjunctival scarring). To make a diagnosis of TS, there must be presence of easily visible scarring in the upper tarsal conjunctiva (as indicated by the arrows).
(B) Arlt's line. As scarring progresses, conjunctival tissue coalesces, forming a thick, white band near the lid margin known as Arlt's line (as indicated by the arrows).
