Retracted tympanic membrane

Retracted tympanic membrane
Moderate to severely retracted right tympanic membrane. It is thin and beginning to form fixed pockets anterior and posterior to the incus (asterisks). The tympanic membrane is draped over the incus (arrow), which appears slightly eroded along its lateral surface. Fixed retraction pockets need to be followed as they can progressively deepen to become cholesteatomas.
