Mitral stenosis apical long-axis color Doppler echocardiogram

Apical long-axis view from a 2D echocardiogram with color flow Doppler shows a high velocity narrow "jet" across a stenotic mitral valve during diastole. The mitral leaflets are fibrotic and do not open during diastole.
