Barrett's esophagus with low grade dysplasia

Barrett's esophagus with low grade dysplasia
Low power view of a biopsy specimen from the distal esophagus showing low grade dysplasia. The diagnosis of dysplasia is supported by the presence of glandular cells with enlarged and somewhat hyperchromatic nuclei that are confined to the basal half of the cell. Abnormal nuclei extend to the luminal surface of the specimen.
