Skull base plasmacytoma

Skull base plasmacytoma
Skull base plasmacytoma (arrows). T1-weighted axial postcontrast MRI (A), T2-weighted axial MRI (B), and CT angiogram (C) demonstrate an osteodestructive and infiltrative left temporal skull base mass associated with avid and homogeneous enhancement. Lacy hypointensities on T2-weighted MRI (B) are consistent with the remaining trabeculae of bone within the expanded marrow. On CT angiogram (C), the carotid artery is not displaced (arrowhead) and there is obvious bony destruction and expansion of the marrow.
CT: computed tomography; MRI: magnetic resonance imaging.
