Subcostal retractions in an infant with severe airway obstruction due to congenital laryngomalacia

This video shows the breathing pattern of a three-month old infant with severe congenital laryngomalacia. The infant has audible stridor and marked subcostal retractions (arrow). The infant is being seen in the perioperative setting prior to undergoing supraglottoplasty.
