Spinal stenosis is when the spinal canal (the space around the spinal cord) becomes too narrow. When is affects the neck, it is called "cervical" spinal stenosis. It can happen gradually as a person ages. If the spinal cord or nerves are pinched, it can lead to symptoms like pain, tingling, numbness, and weakness.
