Osteomyelitis of calcaneus

Panel A shows a plain lateral radiograph of the right foot demonstrating periosteal reaction and erosion of the calcaneus (arrows).

Panel B shows a corresponding MRI of the right foot demonstrating extensive edema within the calcaneus.

These findings are highly suggestive of osteomyelitis.
