Wash your hands with warm, soapy water. Gently shake the ear drops. Warm the bottle by holding it in your hand for 1 to 2 minutes.
To put in the drops:
(A) Have the child sit or lie down, with the ear that needs the drops pointing up.
(B) Move the ear to straighten the ear canal. To do this, gently pull the child's earlobe down and toward the back of their head.
(C) Place the tip of the dropper close to the ear opening, and give the correct number of drops in the ear.
(D) With your finger, gently press the skin to close the ear. This helps the drops run into the ear. Have the child continue to lie or sit with their head to the side for 3 to 5 minutes.
