Column of Bertin on ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging

Column of Bertin on ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging
Longitudinal grayscale US image of the left kidney (arrows, A) demonstrates a "mass" projecting into the renal sinus. Coronal T2 without fat saturation MRI (arrowhead, B) shows the lesion to have the same signal as the adjacent kidney. Following intravenous contrast, coronal T1 with fat saturation MRI (dashed arrow, C) shows the lesion to enhance exactly like the adjacent kidney.
MRI: magnetic resonance imaging; US: ultrasound.
