Doppler imaging during femoral nerve block

Doppler imaging during femoral nerve block
Color Doppler can be used during ultrasound-guided femoral nerve block to identify the femoral artery and to avoid significant vasculature in the path of the block needle. Notice the pulsatile femoral artery lateral to the nonpulsatile femoral vein. For further information refer to UpToDate content on femoral nerve block.
