* Disease severity has not been strictly defined. Mild scalp dermatitis usually presents with diffuse, fine desquamation without inflammation (dandruff). More severe disease presents with scale, inflammation, and pruritus.

¶ Antifungal shampoo use – Apply 5 to 10 mL to wet scalp; leave on for 3 to 5 minutes and then rinse off thoroughly.
