Naloxone nose spray

Nasal naloxone comes in a syringe (panel A) or a pre-packaged spray (panel B).

For the syringe – Take the caps off of the syringe and the tube of naloxone. Screw the cone on the syringe. Screw the tube of naloxone into the syringe. Place the end with the cone into the nostril. Give a short, hard push to give half of the naloxone in each nostril.
For the pre-packaged spray – Hold the spray with 2 fingers, with your thumb on the plunger. Place the tip of the nozzle into 1 of the person's nostrils. Press the plunger to give the whole dose.
