Transverse scan, spinous process view for thoracic neuraxial ultrasound
The transverse spinous process view can be used to identify
the midline and to assess for spine rotation (eg, scoliosis). Spine rotation is
suggested when lateral elements (eg, ribs, transverse processes, or laminae)
appear at uneven depths from the skin.
