Non-small cell lung carcinoma brain metastasis with vasogenic edema
Non-small cell lung carcinoma brain metastasis with vasogenic edema
68-year-old with a non-small cell lung cancer brain metastasis associated with vasogenic edema. (A) Noncontrast head CT shows a right medial temporal mass (*) that is encircled by vasogenic edema (arrows). On both T2-weighted (B) and FLAIR (C) MRIs, vasogenic edema is hyperintense relative to the mass and respects the boundaries of white matter. On precontrast T1-weighted MRI (D), vasogenic edema is slightly hypointense, and on postcontrast T1-weighted MRI (E), vasogenic edema does not contrast enhance.
