Telangiectatic-type pulmonary arteriovenous malformation

Telangiectatic-type pulmonary arteriovenous malformation
(A) Nonenhanced chest CT images (serial 1 mm cuts spaced every 2 to 3 cuts) showing 2 telangiectatic-type PAVMs in a 25-year-old male with HHT. Arrowheads show ground-glass opacities with some tiny vessels inside. Arrows show the small feeding vessels to these lesions. The remainder of the CT showed a small typical PAVM with a 1.8 mm feeding artery of and 4 other ground glass opacities suggestive of telangiectatic-type PAVM (not shown).
(B) Nonenhanced chest CT image showing a telangiectatic-type PAVM in a 15-year-old boy with HHT (0.6 mm cuts). Arrowheads shows a ground-glass opacity. Arrows show the small feeding vessels to this lesion. The remainder of the CT showed a medium typical PAVM with a 3.5 mm feeding artery and multiple other ground-glass opacities suggestive of telangiectatic-type PAVM.
PAVM: pulmonary arteriovenous malformation; CT: computed tomography; HHT: hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia.
