Transition from ultrasound scan over transverse processes to scan over ribs
These images show differences between images with the transducer placed in a sagittal orientation over transverse processes (panel B, red line in panel A) versus over ribs (panel C, blue line in panel A). In images obtained more laterally, the pleura is brighter and more superficial, and the width of the space between the IIM and the lung is narrower, compared with images obtained more medially.
