Distances relevant for performing thoracic paravertebral block

The center of the lateral tip of the TP usually lies about 2.5 cm from midline. TPs are approximately 2.5 cm from the TP above or below. The depth of TPVS is approximately 1 to 1.5 cm deeper than superficial (dorsal) aspect of the TP.
