(A) 18F-FDG PET/CT "MIP" view.
(B) Coronal (left panel), sagittal (middle panel), and axial (right panel) PET views.
Vascular (arterial) 18F-FDG uptake at carotids (C), ascending and descending aorta (D), aortic arc (E), and abdominal aorta (F).
PET/CT scan referable to a grade 3 large vessel vasculitis according to Meller's disease scale. Intense FDG uptake (higher than liver uptake) at ascending aorta, aortic arch, descending aorta, and abdominal aorta. Carotids and epiaortic and iliac vessels show slightly lower tracer uptake compatible with a grade 2 large vessel vasculitis (equal to liver uptake).Do you want to add Medilib to your home screen?
