Flow-volume loops with expiratory limb obstruction

Flow-volume loop changes from baseline (white loop). Partial obstruction in the expiratory limb, for instance due to a partially occluded filter, manifests as a decreased peak expiratory flow and prolonged expiratory flow (resulting in air trapping in this case).
