Superior aspect of uncinate dissection, robotic pancreaticoduodenectomy
Divide the superior attachments between the uncinate process of the pancreas and the superior mesenteric artery; grasp the specimen end of the divided bile duct and retract specimens inferiorly for this step. Note that the vein being divided with the energy device is the posterosuperior pancreaticoduodenal vein (PSPDV), sometimes called the "vein of Belcher." The superior mesenteric artery is not seen, as it is posterior and medial to the superior mesenteric vein in this image.
