Adductor canal section

This graphic is a schematic showing the structures that would be visualized with ultrasound at the mid thigh. The bright blue line defines the adductor canal. The saphenous nerve appears inside the adductor canal, whereas the nerve to vastus medialis is just outside the canal, encased in a thin layer of the vastus medialis fascia.
