Hip with cam morphology on plain radiograph

Hip with cam morphology on plain radiograph
This anterior-posterior plain radiograph shows cam morphology of the hip. Note the loss of concavity at the superior aspect of the femoral head-neck junction (arrows). Also note the sclerosis (arrowheads) at the portion of the acetabulum adjacent to the abnormal portion of the femoral head-neck junction. Cam morphology represents one type of femoroacetabular impingement.
